D.A.G.g. “Debby” McDaniel was born in Iowa, grew up in Southern California and has lived in rural Nevada since 1977. McDaniel says she has been drawing for as long as she can remember. She drew her first “real” picture in the third grade of Galileo. Although she did not take art courses in high school, she did all the artwork for the drama and choral music productions. She took one freehand drawing course in college.

Most artists start with pencil and move on to other mediums, but McDaniel has chosen to perfect the art of working in pencil. She started drawing portraits from photographs after a year in college. It has been said that her portraits are “sensitive and uncannily accurate.” While her original work is only on a commission basis, prints are available of works from her private collection. All prints are signed by the artist.
